SUMMARY:Basics on Data Protection Law (Course F)
DESCRIPTION:The workshop will give a theoretical introduction to the basics
  of the data protection law for data stewards and researchers. The partici
 pants will learn about the basics of data protection and gain awareness fo
 r which research projects and questions the data protection law is relevan
 t. The participants will know when the support of the data protection and 
 information security officers of the University of Basel is required in or
 der to sufficiently guarantee data protection in a research project. After
  the workshop\, data stewards will be able to support researchers in simpl
 e data protection issues. Researchers will know basic data protection issu
 es that can arise during research project and how to approach them. The wo
