Basics of research ethics: life sciences and medicine (part 2b)
What is Ethics of Research? Why is ethical reflection essential to scientific research? What does responsible research mean? How and when do researchers implement ethical principles in their research projects?
The course consists of two parts: Part I provides a general introduction to research ethics (short history, general principles, ethical guidelines, responsible research, scientific integrity).
Part II discusses practical issues in research ethics on the basis of concrete examples (e.g. Informed Consent Form, Information Letter, Interview Guide).
