Dealing with Research Data Management
Research data management is becoming an important part of scientific practice. It supports the quality, visibility and opportunities for the reuse of research results after the end of individual research projects. With this in mind, funding agencies such as the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF) and the European Commission (Horizon 2020, ERC Grants) have been requiring Data Management Plans since 2017, as well as the publication of research data, provided there are no ethical or legal reasons to the contrary. Journals also nowadays expect that data related to articles is accessible as well.
This introductory course will give you an overview of the methods and tools of research data management in the context of Open Science and with regard to humanities and social sciences. It will address how to adapt research data management for your own practice and how to comply with requirements.

This course is reserved for doctoral candidates of the Faculy of Humanities and Social Sciences and organized by the Graduate Center (GRACE) in cooperation with the Research Data Management Network.
