We have published a report on the results of the 2025 survey on research data management (RDM) practices at the University of Basel.

The results show that institutional infrastructure for storing, managing, and backing up research data is widely used across the university. At the same time, many RDM practices remain informal and are not yet consistently standardized. Respondents express a clear interest in additional RDM support. Frequently requested topics include data archiving, data management plans, metadata & standards, and storage & backup. Consulting, practical resources such as guidelines, templates and checklists, and training are the most frequently requested forms of support.
