New SNSF guidelines for the submission of data management plans

The SNSF has adapted its guidelines for the submission of data management plans (DMPs). The DMP has now to be submitted as soon as possible after grant approval, and not anymore upon proposal submission, as it was formerly the case. A comprehensive DMP is newly a condition for the release of the first instalment of project funds. After its submission in mySNF, the DMP is assessed by the SNSF administrative offices. Possible shortcomings are communicated to the grantee and have to be addressed within three months, but at latest before the release of the second instalment. For more information, see the SNSF website.
