RISE crash course TEI and scholarly editions
RISE is offering two-hour sessions on 01.04.2022 (10h-12h, in presence, Kollegienhaus - Seminarraum 103) and 22.04.2022 (10h-12h, online, Zoom) where we will
provide a panorama about digital scholarly editing, discussing best practices for transcription, mark-up, annotation, collation, visualization;
introduce the Text Encoding Initiative (TEI) Guidelines and its use for scholarly editing and manuscript description;
answer your questions about digital scholarly editions.
We would also like to use these small crash courses to better understand the research practices and the researchers' needs at the University of Basel. The course can be followed by more in-depth training or workshops upon request. The courses will be held in English. Apart from the format, the course on the two dates will be the same.
